Message	Unlike shifter bushings, these washers don't actually bear significant loads when shifting gears, but are just there as spacers. Nylon has been used instead of metal to reduce friction and to eliminate rattle. You can use metal ones and probably not have any significant issues, but they need to be the same width as the washers supplied, particularly not any thicker.
