Well, then the engine will have to be fully built to withstand power above 450. It would be hard to get 700 horsepower out of a 4 cylinder, it even costs the supra guys some good cash to get up there. for the comment about fabrication and labor, I do all my own work. I weld, machine, and do everything myself. I also work at an import shop where parts can be readily available, but those guys are honda guys, I wouldn't let them work on a lawnmower engine, unless it was a HONDA.
I have seen engines for these around 4 grand, that is why I got the idea. I also thought that dual electric fans would help to clearance, but maybe not. Oh well.
