Message Well I've been working from home doing engine assembly in my garage that I converted to an engine shop. I've been doing my machining at my buddies place on off hours during the weekends and so forth. But now its my time to take on the machining in house so I finally locked in my 2000sqft shop a few weeks ago and begin to do the conversion to be a full fledged Nissan R&D machining and testing facility.

I will have the ability to do all facets of machining and testing in house from now on. Part development to mock up to final production of parts to installation of the parts, then right to testing on an engine dyno. (coming soon) This will be the first of its kind here in the US for Nissan devlopment that I know of. I believe any other place just uses a chassis dyno. (correct me if I'm wrong) Its been a long time dream of mine and now its a reality.

When I first got the shop it was horrible inside. But I knew the potential was high and I couldn't pass up the shops location and how well it was insulated. So after doing some much needed TLC, etching the floors then putting down a new low luster sealant, the shop looks brand new on the inside (to a degree). There were some stains and other embedded material I just couldn't get up but the floors were white when I was done with them. That etching solution is some badass stuff! There is still more work to be done. I am working on getting materials delivered and putting up work rooms and marking off the layout from my blueprint where machines will be and rooms to be built.

The big metal corner work station I picked up from a local guy for $250. its full SS and has a parts washer with pump built in as well as a hot water heater. The work station has 3 2.5ft deep sinks in it and large work areas on either side. The work/tear down table is 7ft x 9ft. Big SS work table to say the least...and by no means is it lite..lol

Thanks for looking
