Message	I was reading too quick and missed the part about where you didn't want a proprietary file. It will, still clone, but just not as a single step like you want. With that said, it's still a good way to generate a backup. Good insurance if you attempt one of the live partition resizers. Not sure if RAID support is new, but I can check the version I use. If it supports RAID, and you're running into limitations with the trial version, I can send an ISO to create an Acronis boot disc, which will run the backup and restore.
