There are many post on the net about lots of different wheels cracking/breaking. Guess what... most of the time it happens to people who track their cars and don't ever examine their wheels for stress marks. All wheels *can* break, it just depends on what their use is and how long they've been subjected to harsh conditions. Both of your points are justified. Rota's are not high quality wheels, they most likely should NEVER be used by people who autocross or especially track their vehicles. LJZTT's post where he says "There are tradeoffs everywhere it's all about bottom line, does it accomplish the task at hand or not." is absolutely correct. If you simply cruise around town with your "rimz", then it doesn't really matter what brand they are or how they were made. They most likely won't break unless tremendous stress is put on them. If you're tracking your vehicle, you'll probably pass on buying brands like Rota anyways simply because you know the risk involved.
