| doesn't it? If there seems to be a "trend" on TTnet it is because this is the home for Z owners who are serious racers, serious draggers, track day types, and street car owners who simply want to improve the performance of the Nissan design for their own enjoyment. This obviously leads people in the direction of quality-first. And quality-first often leads to higher priced items as opposed to the sea of non-branded or knock-off questionable quality stuff. This is simple logic. If he just wants to improve cosmetics or just hates the oem wheels then there isnt any good reason not to buy ADR's, it just isnt a motive typically found by folks posting here. I had ADR's on my NA, and they were not an improvement over stock in anyway apart from cosmetics. I still went and did track days anyway because the cosmetic aspect was more important to me than improving performance on an NA Z via lighter more expensive wheels. To me I preferred to spend that money on multiple areas elsewhere rather than sink thousands into wheels and tires and then be stuck with shitty wore out suspension, purpled windows, etc. Once I got into a TT though, to spend any money on wheels and not wait until you can swing quality parts is a bit silly, but again if all you are doing is cruising your local sonic, sure ADR's work great for that. No need to drop 4k on wheels unless you are simply that desperate for attention, or 4k isn't much money to you. We have both of those types of people here too. So your assessment that people here are simply "bashing" everything and only accept a "norm" is misguided and uninformed at best, and to be honest, it likely more stems from you being treated a bit harshly in your time since joining.....which btw is NOTHING new, or unique to you
"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of "liberalism", they will adopt every principle of our socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without ever knowing how it happened.... I no longer need to run on the Socialist Party ticket because the Democrat Party has now adopted our platform." --Norman Thomas, 1944 Socialist Party Presidential Candidate "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." --Winston Churchill END THE FED
