Message Stopped over to SpecialtyZ today to replace a passenger side coolant hose that gave me a scare last week (dripped onto hot turbo, steam everywhere). Thankfully that's all it was and not a freeze plug.

While there, they took note of my idle being a bit off, missing and changing intermittently. Once Seb heard it, he put on the dyno sniffer to see what was going on. My driver's side was 17.0@idle, running lean while the passenger was the proper 14.7. From there he mentioned that I might try the Selin kit as it resolved similar idle issues with his dual pop. Never one to say no to a fancy new innovation, on it went.

Not 20 minutes later and everything was perfect. Idle is smooth, A/F out of both pipes was at perfect stoich (14.7) and it drives like a dream. It even appears to have taken care of a strange intermittent 5,000RPM hesitation I'd get. Can't be sure yet, but I'll know within a week if it doesn't return. Anyway, just wanted to give due credit to Jim@Selin Designs for bringing a great product to market =)

fwiw, here's a few random phone pics I snapped. The Z.

Seb's immaculate engine bay

Shitty pic of a random Z sighting on the way home. JSPEC front, custom yellow of some sort and very clean. Gave him a thumbs up and got a response, which is rare these days. If you're on here, nice Z!
