| Advantage is its lighter. Comparing a H and an A you can see since its tapered there is less material (weight). Weight in Grams - Total/Rotating/Reciprocating H: 551 / 384 / 167 Super-A: 534 / 378 / 156 A: 499 / 363 / 136 Carrillo do not state hp limits, but this is the rule of thumb given to me by a few guys. A ~ 100hp per rod, SA~200 per rod and H~250 per rod. Carrillo also do another version of H-beam utilizing their bolts and that has 'unlimited' hp limit. If you are going forged and considering getting Carrillo I would recommend Super-A minimum. A is lighter and weaker, would work awesome for an intense N/A engine with NOS etc but lets be serious any TT thinking of going forged should be making decent power. When I had my engine balanced the guy did say he was surprised how light the reciprocating weight was. I didn't modify/lighten my crank for various reasons.
