You can get a lot of power with the stock exhaust. and the car wont make your ears bleed. I've test drove a Z that I almost bought a few years ago that had bigger turbos and other upgrades with a stock exhaust and the car was very fast. I've been extremely disappointed with my car after I put an aftermarket exhaust on it. Yea, the car was faster, and the turbos kicked in a little earlier, but the car makes my ears ring every time I drive it. Then I went to sound proofing the whole thing with B-Quiet, and adding venturis to it, and researching for months on how to quiet the car, but no matter what, the drone kills the enjoyment from the car. If you use the car as a daily driver, watch out. I started with a Labrees, great for power, god awful for sound, then switched to a Borla, just a little better for sound, but lost some power. I think my stocks gave me the same power as the Borla And now, I'm considering going back to stock just so I can enjoy music in the car again. It's not worth going deaf over. No matter what anyone tells you, adding any performance exhaust on the Z will make a HUGE difference in how loud the car is inside the cabin.
