| I know that on the 5 bolt flange side on the of SZ bolt holes is "goose egged" because one particular bolt on the 5 bolt style turbos is in 2 different locations. Be it slightly different location yes, but still different enough to need a slotted mounting hole. As for the 4 bolt SZ DPs they are worth what they charge. I know that they don't make a grat deal of money on those DPS. They are produced by Fast Intention in the USA and they are a work of art! I have them on my Z and I made damn near 500whp SAE (over 501whp if you count STD correction factor with a smoothing of 0) on my unmodified stock turbos with the SZ 3" expansion DPs! I have fill SZ 2.5" on my earlier stock turbo setup & the difference (eith my other mods) was night and day! Totally worth it! Also if you look at how AMS weld the entire outside of the DP and then drills the holes on the 3 bolt flange side you will notice that the hole is drilled through the weld. Which means that the bolt head/washer will NOT sit flat against the flage and it WILL create a shearing factor on the bolt. SZ welds the inside of the DP and grinds it smooth for the BEST flow possible and then spot welds the outsid efor added strength. But their spot weld are inbetween the bolt holes so that the mating surface of the bolt hole and the bolt are parallel and flush. Just another example as to why SZ has s better design, better quality contro, higher quality material, & are the best.
