Do you remember how many gears you used last time. I only get into third with stock gearing. Third is wound out though. Add about .10 for normal shifts. With the air being thin like that you automatically make less power pretty much offsetting your leader gears. Then if your gearing has changed enough to make you have to shift one more time then there is lost time. Plus baby shifting makes your shifts a little slower, it may not seem like much but it makes a notable difference. When I had my old tranny in. I couldn't get 2nd fast at all. Now with a better tranny I gained 3 tenths. All that just by getting a trans i could shift fast with. Just wait a few months and go on a cooler day and see how you do. I put down a 12.56 at about 1300ft above sea level at 76 degree's. Now at about 90 degree's I'm running 12.90. Sorry about the book, Just trying to say don't freak out. Wait till a cooler day and try again. Make sure you don't have any boost leaks and go at it.
