signal or not, (if I'm understanding the scene correctly). The fact that you had time to blow your horn and beat him to the spot tells me you had time to react properly and get out of his way. Driving on the streets is not a contest. The object is to get somewhere safely. Defensive driving has taught us that it's not so much who started the potential problem, but who had the last chance to avoid an accident. That clown surely was wrong, but you, as a more aware driver, had the chance to avoid a potential accident, and you used that chance to be macho and vent your anger.
