Message	When you use your blinkers, it is just the same as asking the person behind you to speed up so you don't have room to change lanes. Unless you're in a bigger vehicle, then you just signal and go. The other driver slows down. :) But by Kalifornia law, the requirement to use blinkers is only when you will alter another driver's path of travel.
