There are quit a few differences. 1 being the dual syncros in 1-2 2 being the way 4th engages using a new style shift insert (dawgs) instead of a insert spring. 3 nylon speedo gear (old ones were steel and removable) Can't get the nylon one to rebuild if needed and have to make the steel one work. I have gotten 2 bad ones from Nissan now. 1st would not shift into 2nd at high RPMS, 2nd one likes to take off in neutral when cold. The clearances inside are obviously off on both of these trans. I have 5 used ones now and I will hopefully be able to make one good one.
