Message The event was a good time as always, and we had a few ZDayZ newcomers with us, including Adam, Hot Karl, and Beth with a 350Z from our local club. The rockslide roadblock was annoying, but not a showstopper; just meant it took us longer to arrive, and there was no driving of the usual scenic 129-Cherohala loop.

Much thanks to the organizers who were very busy and did an excellent job, and to everyone else who came and made it a good time. It's always fun to see folks again and meet new ones.

On to the pics:

Our lineup on the way down, Wednesday night:

The delightful motel we stopped in - I haven't been in one like this since I was a child!

Giving my car a quick wash from too much pollen, I couldn't help notice some odd terminology on this machine:

I'm sure they mean it to be pronounced differently than I did in my head... o_O

Thursday morning I woke up to find my keys gone, and then realized Bernie had taken my Z to be inspected. It's been basically down since ZCon with replacing the turbos and then clearing all the front piping and ICs of oil from that incident, so the inspection was way overdue. A good place to stop for that:

Ask Bernie to tell his walk-up story... 8)

Then on the road -

Really good barbecue:

Aaaaaand because it seems I can't go on a road trip without SOME kind of incident: I caught a rock. Could that morning inspection have been ANY more timely???

Thankfully this trip's incident was one that left the car still able to drive. ;-P

Lucky Number Thirteen

And yeah, the roadblock sign was for real:

Almost there...

I think that guy was rusty last time I saw him.

Friday
Looks like it's mayfly season in the mountains:

Woohoo - Randy rides again!!! 8)

Deja vu:

I was very glad to see you and your Z there, Randy! =)

A gorgeous setting for a gathering:

I was previously a aviation mechanic and avionic technician and this car is harder to work on than Aircraft.
