Message Contrary to popular belief, the o2's are "referenced" by the ECU during idle. The ECU uses their input to adjust the programmed fuel/timing maps for optimum operation. O2's can function perfectly @ the test speed of 2500 rpm (when warmed up), yet be very "lazy" at idle. So it could be the O2's causing a problem, but probably not cause the car to stall.

Before changing them I would check some other things first, Temp sensor, maf connector, cas connector, tps voltage and connector, remove, clean and test the iac valve, and do a boost leak test. You can also bypass the temp sensor with a resistor to make the ecu think the engine is warm when it is not, and see if anything changes. After checking these then see if the ECU has any new codes.

You have probably checked most of this stuff already, but I have found that when frustrated, the simple things can get missed. Stop for a while and clear your head, then carefully recheck these things, and you might find that it is something simple that was missed. Hope this helps.
