The car actually belonged to a friend of mine's (member bstyleZ's) father... he bought it LONG ago, but it was plagued with problems (the 73 has chronic carburetor problems, and he had starter issues as well), so he put it in a garage and forgot about it for over 20 years (even bought another one to replace it). They uncovered it in fall 2008 and sold it to a local guy, who dropped in an L28ET (from the 280ZX Turbo) but didn't have the requisite know-how or resources to finish it. When I decided to sell my Z32 chassis, the guy offered to trade me the 240Z plus cash for my chassis. So really, I didn't have to do any searching (even though I did consider trying to buy it when I saw it for sale in fall 2008). The story, as posted back in November. As for finding a 240Z, clean ones pop up on ebay, hybridz.org, and other classic Z sites occasionally.

Or do you not realize that our argument has moved around and come again to the same place? [...] Or do you not remember?" - Socrates |
