Now about turbocharging the stock 240SX motor... too expensive and no good aftermarket parts made for it... ie valve springs, retainers, etc have to be custom made which are $$$. The better alternative is doing the SR20DET engine swap which is out of the Silvia in Japan. The Silvia is the Japanese version of the 240SX with a 2.0L turbocharged DOHC 4 cylinder. It's VERY upgradable and it drops right in because the body/frame of the 2 cars are exactly the same... only thing that has to be done is the wiring harness has to be rewired to go through the right side of the engine firewall instead of the left side because the drivers side is switched in Japan. An SR20DET engine/transmission with all the accessories that you'll need will run about $2000-$3000 complete. Email me if you have any more questions... I have a 97 240SX and I did the SR20DET engine swap on my friends 97 240SX as well.
