Message I'm looking for opinions on what would look good for a color scheme for the engine. If anybody has pics of something they have, or saw that looked good (preferrably on a red car, but anything is helpful), I would appreciate it if you could post them. I have a 93 convertible, that was converted to a TT about 3 years ago. I just got the engine back from the rebuilder, so everything is off. I want to make the engine look nice & new, since it was just rebuilt. The body is ultra red (AJ4), the interior is black, the convertible top is black, the wheels are silver. I am thinking that some red would look good, but I think making the plenum red too would be too much red. I was thinking red (body color) valve covers, timing covers, & plenum cover. And doing the plenum itself in silver. I have a little shop, & I do some paint work, so I have a cabinet full of leftover paint. I have some bright silver metallic left over from a 98 Grand Cherokee (PS2 paint code). It's just a little brighter silver than the bare aluminum color, so I thought that might look good on the plenum. I was thinking the intercooler pipes can stay black, but a little color might look good there too. Primer, base coat, & clear coat for everything, with a little flex additive for the flexible parts. I would appreciate opinions, & pics would be great, as I want to make the colors right the 1st time. I don't want it to look wrong, so I have to redo it later. Thanks! Here's what the car looks like, for a reference: Photobucket
