Message	even when the light is not illuminated. It was a "candy color'. So its translucent and the light will show right through but appear whatever color it is supposed to be vs. it using the "red" electro-illuminesent panel that appears orange when its not lit. It was model/toy car "Candy" red. Just look for whatever color that is classified with "candy" or translucent red. Just use a small paint brush and paint the ridges or letters of the "300zx" numbers. It will look red and light up red as well, and just as bright as it should, even with the paint that masks the native color of the illuminesent panel. I really really think it looks very factory and very high quality. I used to not want the lit up rear panel (only wanted it in red) because it looked orange in all of the versions of other peoples Z's. The way Dee's panel is.. It looks just like the stock J-spec rear center (very similar color red "300zx" logo) but also lights up at night.. Not too bright, not too dim.. Just right. email me and whenever I stop by walmart or someplace that sells car model paints. I will pick up a small can for myself and if you need I can give you part numbers or maybe even pick up a can for you. NO, This picture is not photoshopped. It took many times to take this picture. Setting up the timer, shutter speed etc, then jumping on my bike and getting the tire to spin.
