the Mongoose hadn't come into the pic yet, and I had loaned my first real bike, a shiny yellow Huffy, to a friend like dad told me *never* to do. Well, as you can guess his dad backed over it. My dad was like "tough, deal with it" so for like almost 2 years I had to find a frame here, some forks in a ditch, a rim in a dumpster, etc and build my bikes,, lol. Well, I had this one and it had a girl's frame on it(no crossbar) and the "ape" handlebars(kinda like a Harley) and we were all in this quary going down these big hills over jumps we made. We made a BIG ass jump out of 2 X 4's and a beer keg. One of the high schoolers grabbed my bike and went down the big hill and over the jump..... when he landed you heard a big "crack!" and he kinda slowed then starting screaming something and fell over on the ground still on the bike. The frame had folded and the gooseneck was essentially up against the seat. The handle bars had trapped his knees so he couldn't put his feet down and he just fell over!! It was hillarious! I was kinda pissed about my bike, but it was worth it. I just took it to a neighbor and he welded it for me, good as new :) See, I got my start early when it came to wrenching on things, hehe. Mike
