| welds. I hope you are not implying that the convex nature of the hood adds to its tensile strength in a manner that it actually helps with absorbing energy adding to the cars rigidity. Nissan threw that hood there to simply maintain the shape of the roofline and to maintain the aerodynamics of the car. You are saying that a piece of sheet metal that I can stab through with a knife, thats spot welded to the top of the car, is adding to rigidity of the car. I suppose you cant imagine the hood flexing?
