| got too much movement between the engine/trans and the shift linkage during the drag runs. That's about the only thing I can think of that would help make the u-joint last longer. Either that, or ditch the u-joint altogether and go with a custom shifter set up. But that probably wouldn't be desireable for those days when you want to cruise. Dave
