| After disassembling and having my throttle bodies powdercoated, I figured I would install new bearings for peace of mind. I lucked out and found a NSK supplier for the bearings. I will get into the correct part # at the bottom of the post. Here are a few pics of the install: New Bearins (right) along side old (left)
First I lubed the seating surface with some silicone grease:
I installed the new bearing into the recess, and used the old bearing (pictured, new bearing is partially seated underneath old) as a shim to avoid damaging the new bearing while pressing it in using a vise. The towel is obviously there to protect the PC finish.
This is a closeup of the correct seat of the bearing, mine went in without any binding or issues.
New bearing installed. I may do a better writeup when I install the shafts and throttle body hardware.
This method worked for me, although a socket or a wood shim could be used instead of the old bearings to assist in installing the new ones. When the shafts are installed, I expect some movement of the bearings on one side or the other. Just a heads up. Hope this helps out a few people. Bearing Part number NSK 6000ZZCE PS2S O.D. 26mm I.D. 10mm Bore 8mm
