To correct this situation would require disassembly of the headlights and either modifying the glare shield or replacing it with the shields from an ASPEC headlight assembly (which will likely require some customization in the process). So while your suggestion is correct for the point of getting modern HID performance through a headlight that was designed for HIDs, it's not entirely plug and play. And when you add in the initial cost of the '99 headlights plus the added cost/work to correct the glareshield, there's an added barrier to the convenience of the JSPEC headlights....that is unless you live in Australia, England, or any other countries with RHD. :-) Dave PS: I wasn't sure if your sig pic of the National Sarcasm Society came in to play with your response, but if it did....my bad.
