In 2002 I had my 2000 Honda Civic Si stolen (beginning of December). I made a police report and filed a claim with USAA about three days later the car was found with the insides pretty much gutted. Next day I went to the yard that the car was at to collect any personal items that may be left (there weren't). Took the USAA claims rep in Las Vegas a week to have it picked up and taken to one of their claims centers. During that time the yard actually called me to see why it hadn't been picked up and to remind me of the large storage fee USAA was incurring. I met with the adjuster (not sure why, it was a total write off) as soon as they called me. All in all it was early January before I had a check cut to me to buy my Z. Turns out USAA only had one claims rep in the greater Las Vegas area at that time....and they were taking time off. Anyway, I love USAA's customer service on the banking side of things. And their banking policies are some of the best out there....but they're never getting my insurance business again.
