1.0 is down before the season even starts. Ugh. If I didn't love these cars I would hate them.I posted yesterday about my spirited drive and breaking in my rear Stoptechs. Well I went to bolt up my subframe spacers today and noticed a couple of drops of oil under the passenger side turbo. There was oil under the plenum by the PCV valve so I hoped that it was just a clogged PCV valve dripping down. I pulled the Samco checking for oil and fortunately there wasn't any so I thought it was a clogged PCV valve for sure. I pulled the plenum to get a good look. PCV system was fine - valve and hoses look brand new and are functional. Air can flow freely though the system - I just attached a piece of rubber hose and blew gently though all the hoses and the hardlines - no problem. Then I pulled the L shaped compressor outlet tube and BINGO. Oil in the tube and a mess inside the compressor housing. I guess some of the oil forced its way through the rubber coupling and shot up on to the bottom of the plenum, cooled overnight, and then dripped back down on the compressor housing into the heat shield and out onto the floor. Exactly 30 days until our first track event of the season and the engine needs to come out. If I did not love these f'ing cars, I would hate them :(
