Message I've been putting off replacing my noisy intake cam sprockets since I had just installed a new timing belt less then three thousand miles ago. I finally decided to go ahead and change them out since I all ready had the car up on stands for some suspension work.

I was installing powertrix front upper control arms and tension rods as well as removing the helper springs from my coil overs. The ride is much improved now. Just need an alignment.

I was very impressed with the quality of work and attention to detail BDE puts into these cam sprockets. Besides performing perfectly they also look brand new.
All vtc noise has been eliminated and my occasional rough idle is gone.

Here's a good reason to keep an old belt around. This is one way of doing the belt wrap method.

After only three thousand miles the alignment marks on my timing belt were almost completely gone. I spent a good amount of time counting and recounting cogs.

For the first time in a long time I can't think of anything that needs immediate attention on my z. It has felt like a never ending project but what can I expect with a 19 year old car with 180,000 miles? Hopefully I will get to put some miles on it before my next project arises.
