| with on my XK8. IMO most of the aftermarket kits seem to be the same equipment, except for the ballasts. The newer ballasts are thinner, about half the thickness of the earlier types. Maybe the lamps are different, but I have not been able to identify any universal quality standards. I started my research by looking at the overseas Chinese export sources. They only carry a few brands and IMO, everything you see on sale here is simply repackaged from these sources. This is one of those situations where you can pay a lot more and still get junk. At $40, I at least have the comfort of knowing I am getting the cheapest junk.
