In Reply To Upgraded throttle bodies....58mm vs 50mm...any gains? posted by TTkeeper on February 09, 2010 at 01:19 PM

Message About 6 months ago I installed a pair on a friends NA Vert. Before I installed them the car seemed to pull to about 5,000 rpm then kinda fell flat on it's face. Not saying anything was wrong with the engine but just that the VG30DE doesn't seem to really pull hard all the way to redline. After installing the throttle bodies (had to grind the intake manifold a bit for the larger openings), the car seemed to have more life above 5000 rpm. Not saying it was a monster or anything, just that the throttle bodies clearly helped the engine out at high RPM's.

For the record the only other change was that the stock intake pipes were replaced with chrome E-Bay pipes.
