The traits that make a good track tire (designed to grip within a certain temperature range, sticky, maximum surface area) are the same traits that make a tire have a short life, noisy, and perform poorly in the weather. If I were you I'd run something with descent wet weather performance and then get a second set of tires and wheels for racing (something more aggressive but not a true slick).
