Message There were a bunch of things that could have played a part. It was obviously some kind of electrical issue, but I think one of the ones that just "solve themselves." I say that because, as far as I can remember, he never really did anything to address the problem, but it stopped being an issue.

I know my Z had a "bad" alternator for a few days before I went to South Jersey for a Z meet. I tested it at the shop I worked at, and it consistently failed, so I ordered a replacement. I got it the night before I left, so I threw it and a battery jumper box into my car and headed off, intending to replace it down there. I never had to, as the issue never came back in the year+ I owned the car afterward.
