people, correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I could find out once you start modding the engine and suspension the car becomes illegal for nearly every class they have. The rules are many and frustrating to understand. If you want to go racing your best bet is to get a Miata, make a few necessary changes to the car and do the Spec Miata series. So I'm just building a car that fits all the SCCA and NASA safety requirements just in case one day I did decide to try something. The NASA ST1 class looks interesting. Other than the normal safety requirements this class is very limited rules/restrictions and relies on power to weight ratios and ballast to even the field.
