That's not to bad of a basic setup. If it sounds good to you then keep it. I run an old school Clarion ProAudio DRX9375R preamp head unit 24bit. It only plays CDs and CDR's but it will keep up with any modern head unit..its clear. The sound is processed by Clarion Proaudio DSP 9300, with tones of tone and EQ control.. Can't beat it. This is old units, I am talking 1997 thru 2000. Except for the speakers subwoofers and amps. I have 2 Class D Eclipse Amps and DynAudio 7" front stage with a Image dynamics CX54 rear fill. Subwoofer is an old 12" Titanium Eclipse... Its sounds crystal clear and bumps with best of them...
