Message I had a 87 supra turbo. I was very very happy the day I sold it. Trust me, that most likely isn't the first blown head gasket it's had if there's more than 100k on it. Those engines are total junk. My supra blew it's head gasket before I bought it and about 2 months after I sold it the head gasket blew again (guess I'm lucky?). The engine was clean and healthy, so it wasn't negligence. They just do that and they do it often. If you got it for basically nothing, sell it and turn a profit... then buy a Z :) Those 7M's are just ticking time bombs. Another guy I know here locally has had a hell of a time keeping his 88 supra on the road. It's sitting now with..... a blown head gasket. About the only thing I can say positive about those cars is the turbo is top mounted and very loud with open exhaust. Sounds great, even mostly stock. The straight 6 is very responsive but not very powerful. If you start upping the boost on those cars you'll.... blow a head gasket. Even the NA's do it. I did enjoy driving it, I won't lie. But I don't exactly miss it, especially when I take the TTZ out.

If it's all you got or can afford for now, then hey at least it's a fun turbo car. You'll learn a lot from it.
