The stock radio has a Very low output rating. This s due to the fact the each speaker has it's own amplifer built into their enclosures. I don't know the exact number, however i do know that you have a few options for using the stock radio and keeping quality sound. For anything of a professional quality you will need to replace the Bose speakers wih aftermarket versions. Next you will need to amplify the signal from the stock head unit. To do this you will need to tap into the stock radio harness and convert the line into RCAs (this is where the trouble starts). After converting the lines and connect them to your amp input you will beable to tune the system. Bottom line: If you want to keep the stock radio there are a few extra steps required to get the best results. It is also very possible to get pro quality sound from the stock head unit. But if you don't want to know what you are doing, the just buy an aftermarket radio and be done with everything in one day.
