Message	to get cheap exposure to potential buyers willing to pay the highest amount is to put an ad on ebay with your dream sales price as the reserve. If no one is willing to pay the reserve you can contact the highest bidders and begin negotiations. They may be willing to pay substantially more than they bid once they have a better chance to check out your car and talk to you personally. Or you could use Autotrader listing your "dream price or OBO" and indicating that you don't want to be bothered by low ballers. OBO attracts attention, gives you room to bargain down from your dream price and allows you to troll the market for the highest bidder without committing yourself to a set price (other than you dream price of course).
