I was having that problem a half decade ago on a MacBook, LONG before Chrome existed. You can actually isolate the posts of mine made between May 2005 and November 2006 where I was using the Mac - the text doesn't cross the entire screen, and this wrapping is the problem. Check the link I posted - it's a Mac user describing the solution to the problem.
