I got wasted or just made a stupid financial decision and decided to buy some new doors skins for my Z32. figuring it'd be better then trying to hammer out the mess I have now.On that note, I do have a second full door, but both my doors are damaged. And I got stupid. It happens. Call it a stupid tax that I have to pay. Either way... here we are. And now the FYI part. - The skins alone weigh about 15 pounds each. - Shipping was very expensive for both doors ($100 from Houston to Dallas) and in a HUGE box. Enormous. But it makes sense by the size of the skins. I wasn't expecting the B-Pillar to be a part of it. - There is no wrinkle rock guard on the bottom of the door. - They came lightly damaged. Seems they were at one time Z1's parts, as they were packed horrifically with news paper balls from Georgia. I doubt Nissan does that from the factory. Don't forget the partial single layer of bubble wrap. I wouldn't say this is awful or anything though. Nothing a few skim coats wont take care of. I plan to install them myself. I was hoping to avoid removing the entire door (since it looks like a *huge* PITA), but it looks unavoidable. :( This is not a whining post. Just informative. I didn't realize the door skins weighed that much. Shock and awe ensue.
