are never forced to quantify the CO2 'threat'. NOAA has been measuring it for over 50 years. See [ http://www.esrl.noaa.gov/gmd/ccgg/trends/ ]According to NOAA, as a component of the earth's atmosphere CO2 is 386 parts per million. In proportion this is the equivalent to 1 3/8" of the length of a football field (36" x100 x .000386 = 1.39") Of this 386 ppm only a very small fraction is from human sources; as near as I can find about 5%. And we're supposed to believe that reducing the CO2 we produce is going to change the temperature of the earth's atmosphere. Give me a break!
