: i know a few gamers that have been doing this for like 8 years, im sure it's been a round longer than that. ========================================================An illuminated keyboard for sure has been around for a while. However there are several problems with using previous lighting technology. One LED's use way to much power, they are hard to wire in from a tooling perspective, and they create heat. EL-Cable works better. But using an EL Lamp allows one panel to be inserted into the board (easy tooling), uses the power coming over the cable from the PC, and is cool to the touch. Best of all is it does not add too much to the price. Targeting around $50 As far as Black lights and high-lighters --- none were used for any of the pictures on : Nite-Surfer Gallery Some shots were doen with an incandescent light in the background (Picture # 1) , some with a fluorescent light in the background (Picture # 2) , and some with NO light at all (Picture # 3). Picture # 1 : Picture # 2 : Picture # 3 : Hope this helps some of you. If you want to do it yourself -- check out www.hardforum.com Thank you
