Message	I found the Alpine to be a nice cosmetic fit as well as an excellent sounding piece. IMO, the OEM head unit (made by Clarion BTW) was great for it's day, 20 years ago. Even if the specs were equal (which they aren't) to an aftermarket unit, the OEM HU is made of electronic components which have been cycled for 20 years. If it's a theft thing, just take the face plate off and bring it with you. The unit I showed is really for adding an aftermarket HU to the OEM system, or adding RCA outs to a HU that doesn't have them. In order to do that with the OEM HU, you'd need the male plug from the chassis side harness. I'm not sure how easy those are to get.
