when the motor was out. It wasn't just the connectors that were brittle. It would almost stand up on it's own! With the amount of time, effort and money we put into our cars, it just doesn't make sense to me not to spend the cash at such an opportune time. And yes, the question of future availability would factor into my decision.
Years ago, I asked an old guy that was a Porsche guru if you could put a 914 motor in a bug. I have applied his response to many situations since then......"Son, you could put a winshield wiper on a billy goats ass, but I don't know why you would want to".
