on my way down to SZ a few weeks ago. I got the same spiel and he walked around the car then asked if I had any modifications under the hood. "No, sir" Then he walks back to his bike then back to me and hands me a ticket for tinted windows and no front plate. CHP are pricks, fuck em. My good friends dad is one and he is a shithead too. All they do is collect money for the state. They will pass an old lady broken down on the road to ticket a guy with a trailer doing 60 instead of 55 all day long. If the government really cared about safety cars would be governed at 75 not 155! They need the revenue so they can keep paying prevailing wage, so 4 cal trans guys can watch 2 sweep the side of the road. Don't forget the ever important giant light up click it or ticket signs. My dad got a ticket on his motorcycle. He has a v1 on his bike so when the cruiser pulled him over he was doing 65 and had been for quite sometime. Apparently an airplane got him. Anyways my dad looks up the vehicle code and it explicitly says a vehicles speed cannot be determined by timing distance markers on the freeway. So he does the trial by mail. He wins! So these assholes know they are breaking the law but still do it. Do they get in trouble or fined for wasting peoples hard earned money? Not to mention the time they will never get back. Of course not. They just do it knowing that the majority of people will just pay it. So my tax dollars are being used to illegally fine other tax payers and to build giant light up signs with their oh so clever slogan on it. Our government rocks! K rant off
