Message I had been playing with the idea of having a track car for awhile now. I love my white TT and have done a lot to it over the years, but it got the point where I almost had too much money in it and made it too nice. So the fear of wrecking it at the track started to grow on me. I had already gone through one engine at the track and found myself starting to hold back a tad more and more. I wanted something I could scrath, dent, blow up and have fun in without the worry.

A few years ago another Z guy drove by and saw this slicktop locally and stopped to ask the guy about it for me since he knew I was looking. Turned out the guy was moving and was looking to sell. It was a project for him as well. Interior was all there and in great shape. He had gutted the engine bay which made things easier for me. And he just had the NA engine rebuilt. So I bought the car and it sat covered for a few years as I started collecting parts. With my normal job and my what seems like my 2nd job at night as a Z mechanic I never had time to work on it or my others Z's. So last April I shut down and stopped taking on Z work. Pushed the car into the garage and started working on it.

I stripped it the rest of the way down and cleaned stuff up. And started bolting on parts. I sold the NA engine and a lot of the extra parts. I started with the suspension and havent got much further. I got married over the summer and getting ready for that took a lot more time (and money) than I expected. So this will be my winter project as well now :).

Rear subframe. Stillen sways, SPL-Powertrix-Kaazma adj arms, solid and ES bushings, SPL coil overs, etc.

Modified Stillen ics

Front suspension stuff. SPL coilovers, tensions rods, drop steering arms, and fender brace, Braided brake line, Stillen sway bar, etc

UAS tension rod/lower arm brace

Another Porsche brake kit.

Roll bar for now, will get a cage later though.

Found a colorado guy selling this stock TT front bumper in the same color on craigslist so I jumped on it.

Nismo longer studs. I have to run about a 3mm spacer on my track wheels and tires.

Lots of other stuff. Picked up a Hyper exhaust (hey, its a track car so looks are out), SZ oil pan, SPL radiator/oil cooler set up with the accusump as well, track seat, my old Mike Smith modded stock manifolds, 300 Degree fuel rails, etc, etc, etc. I'll being using a mainly stock engine for now. Got a good lower mile TT engine from a customer who went with a IPP build. I'll throw some basic mods on it, reseal it all and call it good for now. After I blow it up then I'll upgrade. Trying to save as much money as I can right now and go cheap on the car. Most of the parts I have collected over the years which was better than buying in one big shopping spree. Still got lots to do though. More gutting on the interior and more engine bay work. Was nice getting to see the SPL race car, Z-lab and Sean Farrah's track Z's at Zcon in person. Gave me some more ideas and I took lots of pics. Hopefully I'll have the car running by next year and can go out and have some fun with it :).
