Melissa Barone came over about 1:30 with her new intake and asked if I would install it. "Sure." I keep forgetting how annoying those two lower bolts are to get out on the stock airbox. 8PAAaanyway, I get the stock one out and her new one isn't JWT/Stillen, it's one that was made locally so the holes for the MAS bolts didn't line up perfectly... it was annoying. But I got it done. So... she went to start her car... and BANG!!! WTF? Backfire? She was pissed. At me. Then I noticed smoke coming from under the hood. Alas, her battery had exploded. Nobody's fault, but now I'm thinking "$#¡+. Now I have to clean that up and take her to Sears to get a new battery and this is gonna take me another 2 hours." Well it DID. Her engine is all icky looking now from baking-soda-water that I scattered about to kill any stray battery acid, but at least she has a new intake installed and a new Die Hard Gold. 8P PITA...
