Message a turbos' efficiency point. At this level of pressure, the compressor reaches max amount of air flowed, which you can increase boost beyond this pressure, but there will be little if any more air pumped out (also ingnoring the fact of any exhaust track inefficiencies). Raising the boost beyond this point produces minimal to no additiional power and creates that much more stress on the motor and turbos'.
