| Obviously the TT is the best of the bunch but since you are looking for a convertible, the S2000 is a far better choice to me. When I was looking for the S2000, I drove the 2.0L AP1 ('00-'03) and the 2.2L AP2 ('04+) and the AP1 is just as the people above mentioned. It lacks a lot of torque that the AP2 engine has and I found that I wouldn't be able to live with the AP1s drivability. As far as how it compares to the NA convertible, obviously the lighter, shorter S2000 makes for a way more fun car. And given that the S2000 edges the 300ZX out in HP by a little bit, adds to that. Of course you can always TT swap the Z but at the same time you can supercharge (CARB legal in Cali) or turbocharge the S as well. I used to want to supercharge the S2000 but honestly, the overall package is great from the factory. Because of this, I'm trying to get rid of the convertible Z. Having 2 convertibles isn't very practical to me anymore and I like the S more.
