Instead of thinking about two parallel paths, pretend you just tapped into the one original path to attach a pressure gauge. The gauge is in parallel, and of course sees the same pressure (or else you couldn't measure with it). Where the difference comes is for individual injectors within each path. Instead of having injectors downstream of 3, 4, and 5 others, the worst case is being downstream of 2 others. Theoretically the system flows enough and the injectors draw little enough for there to be no drop from injector to injector, but once you significantly up horsepower & flow it might become non-negligible. The one and only thing parallel lines should change is to decrease any pressure difference *between* injectors (with system pressure unaffected).
