Message	in my opinion, the main benefit of the 4L80E is the potential to run a lock-up torque converter for better mileage on the freeway, while the TH400 is pure simplicity at it's best. No matter which direction you decide to go, expect to spend no less than $5K to reliably deal with 800RWHP.
